Wilwell is a 20 acre site on the edge of West Bridgford, Nottinghamshire. It is an abandoned stretch of the Great Central Railway and particularly noted for it`s wildflowers, hence it`s SSSI status. Over 250 species of Wildflower have been recorded including Green Wing Orchid, Southern Marsh Orchid, Cowslips and Meadow Saxifrage.

The Web Site also contains details of other Reserves in the area, plus local wildlife related activities (walks, talks, reserve work parties and other projects). Many under the auspices of the South Notts Local Members Group, which is the active membership arm of Notts Wildlife Trust in Rushcliffe.
