RESERVE WORK PARTIES

Bunny Wood - Meets 10 am on the third Sunday of each month. Winter tasks include updating the nature trail, new storage area and boundary work. Contact Chris Terrell-Nield (0115 937 4906).

The following reserves all run volunteer Work Parties. These are a great way to do something practical for nature conservation, get out in the fresh area and also meet other people.

If you are interested please get in touch with the respective Site Manager who is also a volunteer) for more details.

Remember to take gardening gloves, stout shoes and old clothes.

It is also a wise precaution for anybody doing this sort of work regularly to ensure their Tetanus jab is up to date.

Bingham Linear Park - The work party meets on the Third Sunday of each month, 10am at the Tithby Rd. Contact Bill Bacon (01949 838585).

Wilford Claypits - Work Party is on the second Saturday of each month, from 1pm until 4pm. Autumn dates are 10/09/2005, 08/10/2005, 12/11/2005 and 10/12/2005. Work will consist of scrub clearing, pond work and cop

Wilwell Farm Cutting - Meets on the first Saturday of each month, 1 pm till 4 pm. Work includes grassland maintenance and coppicing. Contact Gordon Dyne (0115 984 3934).

Skylarks - Work Parties are arranged on an ad hoc basis so contact Keith Wakerley (0115 982 0561). Work includes willow coppicing and restoring heathland.
